DOCC Roadmap: 2024 & Beyond
Prepare for Commercial Deployment
2026: The Direct Oxyfire Carbon Capture (DOCC) process will be demonstrated at a plant capacity of 10 tCO2/day in late 2026. This demonstration will occur on a Precision Drilling rig and will prove the engineering and economics of the DOCC process under relevant operating environments for other industries to implement in their processes.
Launch of Small Engine Solution
2027/28: Once DOCC has been proven at 10 tCO2 /day, commercial deployment at scales from 5 - 50 tCO2/day will begin in earnest. The process will be adapted for variable fuel sources as well including natural gas, propane, and gasoline engine generator systems.
Launch of Locomotive Solution
2027/29: DOCC for locomotive rail systems will be brought to market in 2027/28 along with our small engine solutions. This process will incorporate mobile CO2 storage with trans loading capabilities that can be performed at fueling stations and railyards.
Launch of Large Shipping Solution
2029/30: This market of diesel engines will be developed for 2029/30 once the technology has proven itself within the smaller engine markets. This market is the largest source of CO2 emissions from small engine generator systems that the DOCC process may be used on.Â
